PROJECT OVERVIEW

Tower Buildings

Timeframe: 8 months

WHAT WE DID

This is a former office building in the center of Liverpool, directly opposite the Royal Liver Building. Built-in the years prior to the first World War it is one of the earliest steel-framed buildings in England. The scaffolding was provided to all elevations to provide access for terracotta repairs, window replacement, and roof repairs during the conversion of the building to apartments and retail space. Due to the structure of the building and its exposed location, the scaffolding was tied to the building every 8 square meters using specialist tech screws into the terracotta face.
